Private classes are all about making your antenatal education work for you. Whether it’s covering everything from our group classes or tailoring the session to suit your specific needs, these classes are as unique as your journey.
The best part? They’re run in the comfort of your own home and can be completed in one day or spread out to fit your schedule. We’ve worked with twin families, same-sex couples, surrogate families, and even adoptive families.
-
Antenatal classes are one of the best ways to prepare for birth, postpartum, and parenting. Research shows that independent, evidence-based classes like One Mama Midwife can reduce fear, anxiety, medical interventions, and postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder (Gün Kakaşçı, et al., 2023).
Fear during labour can slow progress, impact your mental state, and increase the likelihood of operative births and negative experiences. Our classes equip you with the tools and knowledge to feel confident and in control, reducing fear and helping you navigate your birth with clarity and calm.
They don’t just stop at labour preparation—our classes also increase your self-confidence, both in the delivery room and throughout the postpartum period.
-
Our classes are led by midwives working in labour wards, bringing real-world experience and the latest insights to modern parents. We focus on practical tools, evidence-based education, and empowering you and your support person for birth and beyond.
With ongoing access to Founder Loz, a WhatsApp group for connecting with other parents, and a goodie bag of resources, our fun and interactive classes are more than preparation—they’re your first step into a supportive community.

This class is eligible for private health rebates of up to $400, depending on your health fund, level of cover and extras.
